Philadelphia's urban talk radio station WURD (AM 900) has severed ties with host Andrea Lawful-Sanders following backlash over her use of pre-determined questions provided by President Joe Biden's campaign during a July 3 interview. Biden's team had scheduled the radio interviews in an attempt to recover from a poor debate performance against opponent Donald Trump on June 27.
Sara Lomax, president and CEO of WURD Radio, announced in a statement that the station and Lawful-Sanders "have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately,' according to Variety.com.
