Observer Media Group Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jill Raleigh to chief revenue officer of the Observer Media Group, which includes overseeing all revenue-generating activities for the Sarasota operations and Business Observer, Orlando and Jacksonville markets.

As CRO, Raleigh will oversee all sales management and processes, product development, pricing strategies and technology; work with the marketing department to create B2B and B2C sales campaigns and ensure that partnerships and sponsorships align with sales goals; identify opportunities and set strategies for reader revenue generation; among many other things that all help drive the company’s growth and profitability.

She has long been in charge of the above initiatives as a part of the leadership team creating the overall strategy for OMG. In many ways, she is responsible for the company’s success. In 2023, the Sarasota community newspapers, magazines and website generated the highest revenue recorded in the company’s history under her leadership and expertise.

Raleigh started her career in the media industry in the classified department at the Kalamazoo Gazette in Michigan. She went on to work in advertising sales at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune when it was a part of the New York Times Regional Group. In 2000, she took a bet on The Longboat Observer, joining as a sales rep. She quickly rose the ranks as the company’s top producer before being appointed sales manager and eventually director of advertising.
