Alex Tatusian joins San Francisco Chronicle as deputy creative director

The longtime graphic designer and creative director brings experience from the Los Angeles Times and Marshall Project to the newsroom

Alex Tatusian has joined the San Francisco Chronicle as deputy creative director.

At the Chronicle, Tatusian will help lead a team of seven designers and engineers building and designing the Chronicle’s most ambitious stories across all platforms. He will report to Chronicle Creative Director Alex K. Fong.

A veteran graphic designer and creative director, Tatusian previously worked as an editor and deputy design director for digital projects at the Los Angeles Times, where he helped steer the creative identity of many important newsroom projects. Before that, he served as design director for the nonprofit publication The Marshall Project.
