The Collier Prize, one of the largest journalism awards in the nation, recognizes the best professional investigative reporting on state government in any medium or on any platform and is available to any U.S. news organization.
First Place: $25,000
Second Place: $5,000
Third Place: $2,500
This past year’s winners included an investigation of corruption at the California State Bar, an expose on the Florida governor’s efforts to fly asylum seekers to Martha’s Vineyard, and coverage of abusive conditions inside a Louisiana facility for juvenile offenders.
Winners will be announced at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on April 27.
Deadline to enter is midnight, Jan. 31.
