Longest-tenured NBA radio broadcaster Al McCoy passes away

Al McCoy, the longtime radio play-by-play voice of the Phoenix Suns, has passed away. He was 91. McCoy was the longest-tenured team broadcaster in NBA history, calling Suns games for 51 years before retiring in 2023. 

“Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor member and legendary radio play-by-play announcer Al McCoy has passed away peacefully at the age of 91,” the team announced in a social media post over the weekend.
