Gretagmacbeth Unaffected by Gretag Imaging Action

By: Jim Rosenberg Gretagmacbeth, supplier of color-control and management hardware and software, measurement, lighting, training, calibration, and certification services, is unaffected by the financial condition of Gretag Imaging. E&P Online reported last week that Gretag Imaging is liquidating its holdings.

The two Swiss companies are entirely separate. Representing Gretagmacbeth, Arlene Karsh said that unit of Amazys Holding AG showed positive cash flow and profit in its last mid-year report, and has no outstanding debt and "substantial cash reserves."

Gretagmacbeth dates from 1997, when Gretag AG's color control systems merged with Kollmorgen Instrument Corp.'s Macbeth division. Gretag Imaging was incorporated the next year.
