Community Impact announces strategic partnership with Broadstreet

Posted

Community Impact, the largest news organization in Texas, is excited to announce a new partnership with Broadstreet Ads, headquartered in New Jersey. This collaboration is set to significantly enhance the digital reach and effectiveness of local advertisers.

Broadstreet, known for its innovative approach to local digital advertising solutions, will replace Google Ad Manager as Community Impact's primary digital advertising platform across all of its websites and email newsletters.

"We are committed to innovation and the investment needed to be the news organization of the future," Community Impact founder and CEO John Garrett said. "Broadstreet's unique options create a modern experience that aligns with reader demand as well as our local advertiser needs. This partnership fits perfectly with our CI 360 strategy — a packaged advertising, services and reporting campaign affordable for every type and size of business in Texas."

This strategic shift, set to go live in September, is a key component of Community Impact's "phygital approach," which combines the hyperlocal targeting of Texas' most-read local news print product with the company's expanding digital offerings.

"What excites me about this initiative is the opportunity to provide a more robust platform for local marketers to tell their stories," Community Impact President and CFO Kelly Outlaw said. "Every business has a story to tell. We excel at amplifying these stories, and we believe our clients will greatly benefit from this transition."

“Community Impact and Broadstreet both see local advertising as an outstanding opportunity to connect real people and build communities. It’s a powerful avenue to establish true partnership, provide exceptional storytelling, and continually innovate in an effort to help those businesses and the communities thrive,” Broadstreet Founder and CEO Kenny Katzgrau said. “We couldn’t be more excited to work with the Community Impact team.”

Both Community Impact and Broadstreet are privately held companies that share the belief that local news organizations can thrive with the right approach to business and community. One shared belief is the importance of working with real people and locally owned teams to accomplish common goals.

"Local businesses are deeply invested in the communities they serve, and our dedication to present content and advertising through geographic targeting is a strength of CI," Garrett said. "Readers enjoy learning about local businesses and expect a digital experience which is useful, adaptable and free from the clutter of traditional advertising products."
