Alison Phillips leaving her post as editor-in-chief of Daily Mirror

UNITED KINGDOM — Alison Phillips is stepping down from her role as editor-in-chief of the Daily Mirror at the end of the month.

This is occurring as The Mirror’s parent, Reach plc, plans to cut 10% of its workforce — some 450 jobs, BBC reports.

Phillips, who has served in that title since 2018, will be replaced on an interim basis by Caroline Waterston, editor-in-chief of Reach plc's national magazines and supplements.
