Kevin Thompkins was an interesting fellow.
I worked with him for about two years at the Nobesville (Ind.) Times.
He had a passion for journalism, having spent most of his adult life writing for newspapers.
And he reminded me of an old-fashioned newspaper man, sarcastic but tough. Well, maybe not so tough.
