2020 America East Evolves Into a Complimentary Webinar Series

Posted

The 2020 America East News Media Summit has returned and is now available as a complimentary webinar series to support and educate the news media industry.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association (PNA) canceled the in-person 2020 America East News Media Summit that was scheduled for March in Hershey, Pa. The high-caliber speakers and quality content that was slated remain a valuable resource for the news media industry, and the PNA has therefore prepared a series of complimentary webinars that feature much of that content, as well as several new additions.

“With the forced cancelation of our in-person event,” said Brad Simpson, PNA President, “we immediately started exploring new options to deliver the content that news media professionals have come to expect from America East.”

The 2020 webinar series features sessions that run through October, covering relevant topics for management, advertising, editorial and production roles. Industry leaders, including Brad Bumsted, Ryan Dohrn, Stephanie Fairbanks, Shane Fitzgerald, Dean Ridings, Mike Blinder, Gary Owen, Nu Yang, Elana Newman, and many more, will address hot topics and discuss current trends in the news media landscape.

Programming highlights include:

  • Strategies for Becoming the Go-To Source for 2020 Election Coverage
  • Living through History; faster, better, leaner
  • Generate More Advertising Revenue through Contests and Promotions
  • Consolidation Within the News Media Industry – How will your newspaper be impacted?
  • Effectively Managing the Trauma that Comes from Reporting on Trauma
  • Be an Invaluable Resource to your Advertising Clients: An advertising rep workshop
