The editor of a small newspaper in Murphy, North Carolina, resigned on Tuesday after the daily withdrew a public information request for gun data that outraged some residents in the county, the Columbia Journalism Review reported. The incident is the latest one dealing with guns, public information requests and the issue of gun owners’ privacy.
