Shelton, CT November 14, 2012 – Digital copies now make up 21.4% of total circulation for BPA-audited publications, according to a recent analysis of audience data for the six-month period ended June 30, 2012.
A total of 532 BPA print titles reported digital circulation for the June 2012 cycle, a 6.4% increase compared to the December 2011 period, and continuing an upward trend as more print publishers move subscribers over to the digital side. As of this analysis, nearly one third (32.4%) of all magazine titles (b-to-b and consumer) are reporting digital circulation on their BPA statements and reports.
Among the publications reporting the most total digital subscribers was Chief Executive China, which averaged 330,000 digital copies per issue for the six-month period. Other titles high on BPA’s list in terms of average digital circulation include PM Network with 287,328 digital copies reported for the period; Oracle (15,008); CFO (146,432); and PT In Motion (70,743).
As a percentage of total qualified circulation, IEEE Communications reported 100% digital subscribers. Following closely, PT in Motion reported a total circulation with 89.1% digital, while HRW reported a total circulation with 85.6% digital; and Public Safety Communications with 85.4% digital.
