"The New York Times" site in Portuguese, scheduled for launch in the
second half of 2013, must comply with the laws of Brazil. "Absolutely,"
said the newspaper's publisher and president of the group, Arthur
Sulzberger Jr., during an interview with Folha yesterday afternoon.
"We are aware of the law," he replied, when asked about the requirement
of the Constitution that the stake of foreigners in media companies in
Brazil be limited to 30%.
