“I’m thrilled to be joining the team in Conway. I can’t wait to be involved in the community and to work together delivering even more impact and results for our customers in all our products," English said. “Conway has launched some innovative ideas for the company. We’ll expand on that to help move local ideas and commerce forward.”
English starts Nov. 1 and will report to Les Simpson, regional publisher for Morris Publishing Group, LLC, and publisher of the Amarillo (Texas) Globe-News.
“Alan has been an innovative force in our company, both as editor and as VP of audience,” said Derek May, executive vice-president of Morris Publishing Group. “We look forward to his contributions to the Log Cabin Democrat and the Conway community.”
“As publisher, Alan will be able to migrate to many of the ‘best-of-breed’ innovations he has brought to our paper and community,” said Dana Atkins, president of TAC Media and The Augusta Chronicle. “Alan will contribute to our publishing group in a much larger way as he leads the team in Conway to new levels of innovation.”
English recently was re-elected to the Associated Press Media Editors board of directors.
