Scoopshot CEO Niko Ruokosuo has named Dave Rickley executive vice president, North America. Rickley begins his new duties effective immediately.
“With Dave’s editorial expertise, network of contacts, knowledge of process and strategy as well as his enthusiasm for Scoopshot and the publishing world, I feel very confident about our U.S. expansion and opportunities," Ruokosuo said. "It's great to have him on board.”
Rickley was previously senior editor, operations and technology at the Los Angeles Times. During a career spanning more than 30 years, he worked in or with nearly every department at the Times while leading numerous strategic and content-based initiatives. Many of the cutting edge projects Rickley led involved digital content management and publishing, all designed to expedite the movement of news from journalists around the world to the reading public. Rickley, a second generation Times employee, also oversaw technical operations for the editorial department where he and his team worked directly with reporters and editors.
