The owner of the Peninsula Daily News today announced that it is purchasing the daily newspaper in Everett, adding the second daily to Sound Publishing's family of newspapers in Washington state.

On the North Olympic Peninsula, Sound also owns the Sequim Gazette and Forks Forum weekly newspapers.
